The bread it came with was good however the thing that spoiled it all for me was the 'side salad' which compromised of half a bag of rocket only. You could tell the pate was homemade, but it was bland and tasteless with almost no seasoning. We settled for orange juice on it's own a fruit scone and the pate of the day.įood arrived fairly quick and the service was nice. I asked the waitress if they could make a mimosa as they had both orange juice and champagne on the menu, however she didn't have a clue what we wanted. Even though it wasn't specifically in the menu. Sitting down the chairs are uncomfortable and you sink into them. I went here for to catch up with a friend, we had both been in the past and it was always a nice hidden away café. It’s a shame because I actually quite liked the cafe (I’ve been several times before), but I can’t understand why the waitress thought it was necessary to be speak to me like that in front of a full cafe. I packed up and left and I will never go back. Several people came up to me and offered to swap tables so I could use a plug (such was the waitress’s loudness when she spoke to me), but I politely declined as I didn’t want to give the cafe my business after being spoken to like that. I told her that I wasn’t even going to be using any WiFi and she continued to say the same things in just the nastiest and most unnecessary tone. I asked her why? And she said that it was to do with their WiFi. She went on to loudly, and in an incredibly nasty tone, say that I wasn’t permitted to go on my laptop in the cafe for more than 20 minutes anyway. I said that was fine and was just about to go and unplug it but she didn’t stop there. Immediately the waitress came over and demanded that I put the charger away. There were no wall tables left so the charger jutted out a little into the room. I needed to charge my laptop so I plugged my charger into one of the plugs on the wall. My visit lasted under 5 mins, however, as I couldn’t believe how the waitress there spoke to me. I just went to the cafe today to grab a bite to eat and a coffee and do some uni work on my laptop before an appointment.
